Gilbert (Buck Roger$) Fleming was born January 21, 1987 in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn, New York, USA. He began rapping in his first year at Acorn High School. Buck then started rapping with Wolf Gang, a popular group in the school that had a new and younger breed of rappers called the "Young Wolfs".
When looking back on this experience, Buck says, "When I was recruited by the Wolf Gang camp I felt like I signed a million dollar contract. When I say Wolf Gang ran Acorn as rappers, it RAN Acorn! For me to be a part of that was a wonderful feeling. The first mixtape Buck was featured on was the Young Wolf's "Second and Stronger". He got a good response from his verse which lead him to pursue rap as a career instead of just a hobby.
In 2005, Buck found management under Blakk Money Management. The company did a lot to help him learn and grow as an artist.
In 2007-2008, Buck and company started a tour called The "On Demand Tour".The tour went through states such as Sunbury, Pennsylvania, Wilmington, Delaware and New York, New York. Within these states, Buck and other artist appeared at local venues, promoted and sold CD's and also vibed with their fans. The tour was a fun learning experience for Buck. He met people that he is still close to today while other's he had to part ways with. He says "They wasn't as focused and their hearts wasn't in it as much as mines was."
In 2009 Buck released his first solo mixtape "Mr Roger$ NieghborHOOD" "It felt good having a solo mixtape, now that the first one is out the way I feel ready for a million more"
In August of 2010 Buck Roger$ released his "Idol Light" E.P. With this E.P. Buck found who he was more as an artist, entertainer and person. With many different varity of beats Buck feels this project shows who he is more as a person then an artist.
