I like doing my bios in first-person, referring to myself just seems odd unless someone else was typing it soooo... I was born in Jacksonville, FL in 1985, and I grew up living a pretty normal life I guess. My parents raised me to be a decent person, and I had an older brother I followed around an bothered. I think the one factor that would shape me the most, was going to school on the other side of town. I lived on the north-side which is seen as predominately minorities, and went to school on the south-side. So as I grew up, I began to realize the people I befriended at school, probably weren't gonna stick around that long due to the distance and varied scenarios.
As far as music, growing up, my dad always played music... and loud. Rock, soul, blues, r&b, funk, pop, jazz, and early rap. I had heard it all by the time I was 10, and I remember I initially didn't like rap during the mid-90s. It was way different than anything I'd ever heard and I found it hard to relate to at first so I didn't associate myself with it. But it grew on me inevitably, and by the time No Limit and Cash Money began to bring more attention on the south and explode into the mainstream music scene, I began to go back and listen to all the things I had pushed away. I was hooked, and it made it more so, when I saw my brother start experimenting with rap. Recording over cassettes and seeking out music on the internet as the internet began to grow.
Much of my earlier writings and attempts were exploratory until, I dropped out of college. I spent a year at the University of Florida on a academic scholarship, but being there I felt disconnected and trapped in a place with little support. So I moved to Dallas, Texas and left the past behind me to see if I could really make it. Since being out here I have developed my skills to a level where I feel like I can relate to anyone, and I feel my music speaks for itself. I've done several mixtapes and met numerous people. By far, the most meaningful person I have met is, super-producer Mr. Lee. He allowed me to work in his studio he is setting up in Dallas, and learn how to use equipment, I had never though I'd be able to work with. As of right now, I am focused on putting together lots of music to showcase to anyone who appreciates it, and I'm down to work with anyone. In a nutshell, that's me. Pair-A-Dyce...
